Five years ago Savar building (Rana Plaza) collapse was an incident on 24 April 2013. An eight-story building, the Rana Plaza, collapsed in Savar outskirts of Dhaka in Bangladesh. At least 1,130 were killed and over 2,000 workers injured after eight-story Rana Plaza collapsed in Savar. The building contained clothing factories, other shops and a bank. The building's owners ignored warnings to avoid using the building after cracks had appeared the day before. Garment workers were ordered to return the following day, and the building collapsed during the morning rush-hour, resulting in a tragedy. This was thought to be the worst industrial accident in the history of Bangladesh.
