Bangladeshi women workers return from Saudi Arabia

Almost all of the returnees claimed that they had left Saudi Arabia after suffering inhumane torture at the hands of their employers while many of them mentioned payment-related irregularities as an added bonus to their misery. Many of these women had escaped from their employers’ houses without passport and returned to Bangladesh with support from the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia.

They were telling “We are poor women. we went to Saudi Arabia against our husband’s wishes, to earn money and for better life. But now, we returned empty-handed and we do not know how to show our faces to our family’s”

Many of them returned empty-handed and were so broke that they were even unable to go home to their families.
